Aviation Colleagues:

The proposed revisions to the state aviation trust fund discussed at the last aviation advisory committee meeting have been filed at the State Capitol. These proposed revisions include:

1. Removal of the $6 million cap.

2. Expand the eligibility to include the study and promotion of expanded scheduled commercial service, the study or promotion of intrastate scheduled commercial service or to assist airport sponsors participating in federally funded air service programs supporting intrastate scheduled commercial service.

3. Expand the eligibility to include operational assistance to air traffic control towers partially funded by the federal government under a cost-share program.

These proposed revisions are located in HB 1639 and SB 930.

I do not have committee assignments yet, but as soon as I do, I will pass that information along.
