Now that we have settled into winter flying, things like preheating that cold engine and a little heat for the cabin, so those instruments won't have to spin up against the cold. Depending on the airport of intended landing, a call ahead to check on runway conditions , would be a good idea as well as other services for your aircraft and passengers. Last but not least, remember that the beautiful winter wonderland below can become deadly in a forced landing. Be prepared with things like a wool blanket, some extra clothing, a couple of large plastic bags, and a container with dry matches and some power bars would be good.
It is Called Risk Management.
Fly Safe, Rick
