The regular meeting of the Heartland Chapter of the Missouri Pilots Association was held September 7, at Douglas Company Restaurant in Rolla, Mo. 37 members and guests attended.
The next picnic/social will be September 25 at Bill Hoertel's hanger at Rolla National Airport. Barbeque and drinks will be provided. Members are asked to bring a covered dish. The chapter will also have a poker run that morning.
The program for the evening was Jeff Bruning from the U.S. Air Force. He presented on the ballistic missile program
Don Sneed, Ron Kitchen and Fred Goodwin are organizing flyouts. The first will be to the airshow at West Plains on September 11. Plans are also being made for Bolivar on September 18 and Gaston's on October 4.
The chapter Christmas Party will be December 17 at Meramec State Park..
The October program will be Nelda Lee, Vice President of the F program at Boeing. The meeting will be held October 5 at Douglas Company in St. James. Dinner at 7:00 (order from the menu), Program at 7:45.
