The regular meeting of the Heartland Chapter of the Missouri Pilots Association was held April 4, at Shoney's Restaurant in Rolla, MO. 36 members and guests attended.
The chapter will participate in the airport open houses at Sullivan on April 22, and St. Clair on May 20-21. Flyouts currently scheduled are Fulton on May 6.
The chapter will sponsor a Spring bar-b-que at Rolla National (VIH) on May 13 at Noon. The chapter will supply drinks, hamburgers and hot dogs by 'chef' Bob Pritchett and chapter members are asked to bring a covered dish or desert. EAA members are invited to help with Young Eagle flights that morning.
Contrary to earlier reports the Cuba airport is alive and well.
The program for the evening was local instructor Bill Taylor who conducted a ground school for biennial flight reviews.
The May program is J.B. Simmons, who was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. The meeting will be May 2 at Shoney's in Rolla. Dinner at 7:00, program at 7:45.
For the time being, all future meetings will be held the first Tuesday of each month at Shoney's in Rolla.
