The regular meeting of the Heartland Chapter of the Missouri Pilots Association was held March 6, at Shoney's Restaurant in Rolla, MO. 22 members and guests attended. Joker's Wild continues to grow.
The chapter discussed participation in the airport open houses and EAA Young Eagle's events on May 12 at Fulton and Bolivar as well as dates later in the summer. There will be a Young Eagle's event at Rolla National (VIH) on April 21. Heartland Chapter members are welcome to help and participate.
There was a discussion about the FAA Wings program and the Missouri Pilot's Association competitions. Chapters need to continue to emphasize participation in Wings.
The program for the evening consisted of "hanger flying" where chapter members shared experiences where they learned a lesson about their flying skills, airplanes, or the weather. Several interesting stories proved that we all have something to share.
The April program will be a safety video. The meeting will be April 3 at Shoney's in Rolla. Dinner at 7:00, program at 7:45. The May program will be Steven Long from the St. Louis FSDO.
