The November meeting of the Heartland Chapter of the Missouri Pilots Association was held Tuesday, November 6 at Shoney's Restaurant in Rolla. 42 members and guests attended.
The City of Rolla will be polling local pilots about the Rolla National Airport (VIH) and performing an economic impact study of the airport on the immediate area. In addition after the first of the year, the Aviation Department of the State of Missouri will be performing a comprehensive, statewide, economic impact study of general aviation. Rolla national and several other local airports will be highlighted in the study. Pilots are encouraged to provide their opinions and participate in the study if asked.
Jim Gates, a veteran of Pearl Harbor presented the program for the evening.
The annual holiday celebration will take January 8 at ? in Rolla. Invitations will be sent in early December.
The December meeting will be Tuesday, December 4 at Shoney's in Rolla. Dinner 7:00 p.m., program at 7:45. Dave Bradley, CFI, will present the program.
