The February meeting of the Heartland Chapter of the Missouri Pilots Association was held Tuesday, February 5 at Shoney's Restaurant in Rolla. 26 members and guests attended.
A nomination committee of Fred Goodwin, Nathan Neulinger, Mark Potrafka and Susan Potrafka was created and will create a slate of officers to be presented at the next meeting.
The chapter discussed winter flying topics, including the variety of weather we experience in our area and how to handle snow and slush on runways.
The chapter also discussed future programs. Susan Potrafka offered to contact several of the presenters mentioned.
The March meeting will be Tuesday, March 5 at Shoney's in Rolla. Steven Long of the St. Louis FSDO will present a Wings program.
