Heartland Chapter - Meeting Minutes

By: Nathan Neulinger

52 members and guests attended the July 2nd picnic/bbq meeting of the Heartland Chapter of the Missouri Pilots Association. The meeting was held at Cuba Municipal Airport in one of the large hangars. The turnout was larger than expected given the poor weather in the region.

The program for the evening was Bob Lynch, an RV builder and EAA member from Jeff City, MO. He spoke about the RV series of aircraft, both building and flying them. He also spoke about what it takes to set up an EAA chapter.

The City of Cuba provided the food for the evening.

The August meeting will be at Rolla National, and will be another carry-in dinner/picnic/bbq. The meeting/picnic will start at 6:30pm at the airport. The program for the evening will be Zenair/Zenith Aircraft, from Mexico, MO. They will be bringing at least one of their aircraft if the weather is reasonable, including demonstrations.

The September meeting will be a regular dinner and meeting at Shoney's in Rolla.

Chapter information, future meetings, and minutes of the meetings are available at the chapter web site: http://www.mopilots.org/heartland

Safe flying.
