26 members and guests attended the June 3rd meeting of the Heartland chapter of the Missouri Pilots Association. The meeting was held at Shoney's in Rolla.
Program for the evening was a AOPA/ASF video on landing/takeoff safety.
Officer elections were held. Fred will return as President, Mark will stay as Vice President/Treasurer, Nathan will continue as Secretary. Rick Barnes will be our new program chair taking over from Susan, who has done a wonderful job planning programs this past year.
Treasury sits at around $475 after state deposit and payments for postage and supplies. Jokers wild pot is at 13 cards remaining with $331 in the pot.
July 8,9,10 EAA B17 will be in Jeff City. Young Eagles day will be held at Vichy on June 14th from 9 till noon. Another one will be held at Cuba on June 28th from 9 till noon as well.
We will be sending out a survey to all chapter members sometime in the next couple months inquiring about current flying activities, ownership, ratings, etc, so we can get a better idea of our membership makeup and interests. Feel free to send any suggested questions to nneul@umr.edu.
The July 1st meeting will be a picnic meeting starting at 6:00pm at Cuba Airport. Bring chairs, side dishes, etc.
