June 2003

The Missouri Pilots Association continues to become a powerful voice speaking out for AVIATION IN MISSOURI. This Past Year in Missouri, we have seen lots of Growth, including many New Airports being built. Several Airports have had many Improvements, Runway Expansions, Taxiway Expansions, and many other updates.

Also this past year, we've seen several Aviation Bills in the 92ND General Assembly, from Missouri House of Representatives, and the Senate. The main Bill was The Missouri Airport Protection Act (MAPA); another was The Aviation Jet Fuel Tax. These Bills will take lots of effort on every MPA Members, so we may eventually receive passage of MAPA, and The Aviation Jet Fuel Tax.

We probably will have many other Airports & Aviation Bills, but if and when MPA will speak out and make our voices heard.

The Missouri Pilots Association, and the United States Pilots Association, will continue working together speaking one voice.

This is why, it's been a very interesting year, remember one thing, we must be persistent, and not give up our fight to Protect, Preserve, our Missouri Airports.

We must continue working together as a Collective Group of Pilots, and Taxpayers speaking one loud voice for General Aviation in Missouri.

Now, In Conclusion, Let's not forget to exercise our privileges, and continue to make a "Difference for General Aviation."

Until Next Time!
