The Pony Express Chapter of the MPA met at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at the Rosecrans Airport Restaurant. Twenty-nine members and guests were present.
After dinner, President Kevin Price called the business meeting to order and introduced a guest, George Knudsen. Kevin also announced that Bill Bird flew his first solo.
Billy Ray moved and Bill Bird seconded the motion to accept the February minutes as published. Motion passed. Ray Kerns gave a treasurers report showing disbursements totaling $146.21 for a balance of $5,290.37.
Kevin reported that 158 pilots and 20 legislators attended the reception held in the Governors Mansion on Aviation Day. Six people attended from our Chapter.
Billy Ray reported that there is one month left in the third quarter of the membership challenge. Our Chapter is still ahead.
Ron Wade announced that there will be a Flight Safety Seminar at OJC on March 6 at 7:00 p.m. The Seminar is entitled "The 5 Most Common Mistakes Pilots Make."

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.

The Nicholas-Beazley Aviation Museum
The Nicholas-Beazley Aviation Museum will be located in Marshall, MO. It will house unique, one-of-a-kind, restored airplanes from the manufacturing company that thrived in Marshall during the 20s and early 30s.
