MISSOURI PILOTS ASSOCIATION 2002 ANNUAL CONVENTION
MAY 3, 4, 5, 2002
HOSTED BY THE SOUTH CENTRAL CHAPTER *
THIS IS THE "COME TO THE OZARKS CONVENTION"!!!!
Here are highlights for the weekend.
Headquarters hotel is Ramada Inn, West Plains (see Reservation Form)
FRIDAY MAY 3rd will be a BIG day to "experience" the area.
1. Arrive in the West Plains area by 10 a.m. Fly, drive or whatever gets you here. Have lunch at the old mill on the river, then float the river for three hours (easy water).
2. At 5 p. m. , on to Bill and Mary Marx's Stoney Point Ranch in Willow Springs for ROAD KILL DINNER, blue grass music (known down here as hangar music) and a little do-se-do. For those that just can't make it early enough for the river experience, be sure to arrive by 4 p.m. for the Stoney Point experience.
NOTE: With advance planning, we hope everyone can be involved in the Friday fun. Clear your calendar, arrange your schedule, talk your boss into a day off, etc. Those wanting to arrive a day earlier (Thursday) -- NO POBLEM!
SATURDAY MAY 4th is meeting day with a lot of other activities blended in to make it as enjoyable as possible. Meetings (of course), safety seminar, aviation updates, lunch, Ozark bagpipes, 'ladies only' activities, awards, prizes, banquet with outstanding speaker and maybe a few surprises.
SUNDAY MAY 5th is go home day unless you want to stay awhile to take in some of the many things we couldn't do as a group activity. After a full breakfast, we hope to present some demonstration flying by South Central chapter pilots (weather permitting).
*South Central Chapter area includes Cabool, Gainesville, Houston, Mansfield, Mt. Grove, Mt. View, Thayer, West Plains, Willow Springs plus a few other communities.
