Vice Presidentís Message - at deadline time again.

How many times have you planned to do something and know that it is important but for many reasons you delay. That is how I feel about this little bit for the newsletter. Not that I do not want to do it, I just have to make myself sit down and DO IT..... There are always good? reasons not to, like mowing the lawn, feeding the cats, doing one of those honey-do projects, or even going to work...

So here I am transfering my thoughts to paper. The same thoughts I thought about when I was mowing the lawn. What makes us delay the important things when after we have done them, we feel better -accomplished something good.

Sort of like when you know you have not flown recently, or thought about currency. You have to make the time to plan and execute the task. Complications may set in - like finding an instructor to give you a checkout or making your schedule fit the schedule fit the available airplane you fly. Hopefully, when all things come together, you slow down and concentrate on the task at hand - flying safely.

Life is just as fun. The planning can be a real pain but the end result will give you a warm feeling that you did it well and are ready to do it again soon. Keep thinking about it and eventually you will check it off your list of important things done.

Happy flying!
Tom Holmer, Vice President
