President’s Message

Well it that time of the month again. As most of you know, the chapter is in need of a couple volunteers. #1 is our newsletter publisher. #2 is a president and vice president.

Robin is moving to Indiana when school is out (about June 6??) and Larry will follow later. She has graciously taken over for Roger Ferguson after he moved and done an outstanding job. She not only mails a few newsletters, she e-mails a copy to most of our members. She has told me that the job is not difficult and she would train/help anyone that is interested.

Since Larry died last year, I have assumed the role of president while leaving the VP slot vacant. Recently, I have experienced the unpleasant part of corporate aviation - I am looking for a new position. And so in the near future, I will be moving (unless something opens in the Springfield area). In the mean time, we need to find a VP and a potential President. I believe we should be electing officers - my error - for the next year.

Last Sunday, Larry H, Jerry Mc, and I went to the State meeting. I think I am just now becoming familiar with the other attendees and the process of the State MPA officers/board members. A lot of discussion was about the upcoming State Convention in St Charles - June 6-7-8. It is odd that with approximately 1200 plus members that only about 75 to 100 will attend the convention.

6:30 social hour 7:00 buffet dinner
Cost $10.00 per person.
