Our guest speaker will
be Dennis McGarity. Mr. McGarity has been an agricultural pilot since 1975. His wife and four sons own and operate
McGarity Flying Service in the Sikeston area. Their business utilizes Pratt & Whitney Turbine Powered Air Tractors
(That's an Air Tractor on the right). They seed, spray, and fertilize a variety of crops including rice, cotton,
wheat, soybeans, milo and corn.
Dennis McGarity has been an active member of the Missouri Agricultural Aviation Association as well as the National
AG Aviation Association. He served four terms as President of the MAAA, several terms as a Director and is currently
the Secretary-Treasurer of the Missouri Department of Agriculture Plant Industries Division. He has accumulated
over 16,000 hours of flying time, most of which is agricultural flying in Southeast Missouri. This is the first
time we have had an AgPilot as a guest so it should be very interesting. Members and friends of aviation are invited
to attend.
Location: Greenbriar Country Club on Big Bend just west of I-270. Social at 1800, Dinner ($16) at 1900, Speaker
at 2000. Reservations are required for Dinner; please call Gary Johnson at 314-965-1789 before Monday, February
4th. If you can't join us for dinner, feel free to drop in at 2000 to hear what Dennis McGarity has to say about
being an AgPilot.
(Did Santa bring you a present you don't know what to do with it? Bring it to the meeting and donate it to our

The Main Hangar Restaurant is a unique aviation-theme restaurant with an outstanding view of the Decatur Airport,
which is a little more than 100nm from SUS. We plan to arrive at Noon for an excellent Sunday Brunch Buffet. If
you are departing from SUS we will meet at JetCorp at 1045 with an ETD of 1100. If you are departing from another
airport plan on an ETA of 1200 at DEC. Please call Jaime Dant at 314-580-3983 if you plan to join us. If the weather
looks "iffy" call Jaime to see if the fly-out is canceled.
