The title of her presentation is "Mom, I think I'll be an Engineer".
Nelda Lee has a long and distinguished career in aviation. As a level 2 Manager for test and Evaluation for the
Boeing Company, she is responsible for flight and ground test engineering for the four military aircraft that are
manufactured in St. Louis. In addition to her career with The Boeing Company, Nelda also enjoys aviation as a pastime
and hobby. She is a licensed commercial pilot with instrument, multi-engine, and helicopter ratings. She has flown
in several Transcontinental Air Races. She is a member of The Ninety-Nines, International Women Pilots, and previously
served as Governor for a 9-state area. Currently she is serving on the board of trustees for the Amelia Earhart
Birthplace Museum. She is also a member of The Whirly-Girls, International Women Helicopter Pilots, and is Whirly-Girl
#247. She previously served as International President and was recipient of the 10th Annual Doris Mullen Whirly-Girls
scholarship in 1977. Nelda is charter member #15 of Women in Aviation International and currently serves on the
Board of Directors. She is a member of the Society of Flight Test Engineers and the Auburn Alumni Association and
has previously served both St. Louis chapters as President. Nelda has been featured in several articles and books
and most recently in American Women of Flight: Pilots and Pioneers by Henry M. Holden.
Nelda's presentation is certain to be exciting and informative so don't miss it! Social hour (cash bar) begins

Super Safety Seminar
This years Super Safety Seminar will include expert speakers discussing many of the issues all pilots should
know about or be aware of in todays flying environment.
Topics will include SpaceShip One/Aerodynamics, Airport Operations (LAHSO), Collision Avoidance, Glass Cockpits,
Complex and High Performance Aircraft and Weather Analysis & Decision Making.
Flight instructors attending to renew their authorization will have to attend a second day to fulfill the requirements
of the FAA approved course of renewal instruction. The Super Safety Seminar is open to everybody interested in
aviation.

Exit the parking garage at the West End. Cross Laclede Avenue and enter the University at the Sprint Avenue Gate.

the stairs to the Lower Level.

Drive-Out to Gateway TRACON (Terminal Radar Approach Control).
Wonder what it looks like from
the other side of your transponder while on approach? Join us for a tour of the Gateway TRACON on February 26th
at 0900. The Gateway TRACON is in the Missouri Research Park in Weldon Springs just across the river from SUS on
the South side of I-64. Go Left at the Highway 94 Exit a short distance across I-64 and left onto Missouri Research
Park Drive which is just past the entrance to I-64 going back east. Missouri Research Park Court is about ½
mile on your left.
