June 30 -July 1st
Scott Air Force
Base Open House.
Make plans to attend and have an enjoyable and fun-filled look into your Air
Force, provided by the men and women of Scott AFB. Gates open at 0800. Food, drinks and souvenirs will be sold
both days. For safety reasons, coolers and glass bottles are prohibited. Scott AFB is bringing in aircraft from
across the US. Besides the host 375th Airlift Wing's C-9 Nightingale and C-21A aircraft, other aircraft and demonstration
teams will be there to thrill young and old alike! Including: C-17 Globemaster III
from the 437th Airlift Wing, Charleston AFB, SC. C-5 Galaxy from the 60th Air Mobility Wing, Travis AFB, CA. KC-10
Extender from the 305th Air Mobility Wing, McGuire AFB, NJ. B-1B Lancer from the 366th Wing, Mountain Home AFB,
ID. F-117A Nighthawk from the 49th Fighter Wing, Holloman AFB, NM. F-15 Eagle from the 325th Fighter Wing, Tyndall
AFB, FL. T-38 Talon from the 14th Flying Training Wing, Columbus AFB, MS. EA-6B Prowler from NAS Whidbey Island,
WA. USAF STARS Parachute Demonstration Team from Hurlburt Field, FL.The U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit from Fort Benning,
GA.

Thunderbirds will only fly on June 30th at 1400 since they
have another AirShow in Niagra Falls NY on July 1st.

July 11th

July Meeting will be July 11, the second Wednesday, due to the 4th of July Holiday. Dan Gilbert, the new MPA State
President, will be traveling up here from West Plains, MO to meet our members. Fred Harms of our FAA FSDO will
be presenting Wings Certificates to the following members: Arnold Zimmerman, Doug Rajski, Jim Crowe, Jerry Aronberg,

Last month we announced that the MoKan Trophy was surrendered by the Kansas Pilots Association to the Missouri
Pilots Association. The Trophy will be on display at the various chapter meetings. It will be on display at our
July Meeting.

Fly-Out to CGI on Saturday July 14th if the WX is VFR; IFR (rain) date is Sunday July 15th. We will depart SUS around 1000, take in the various aircraft on the static ramp. There will be a wide variety of food for lunch, displays, souvenirs, etc.

The Fair & AirShow on Labor Day Weekend
is not too far away. The theme of this year's AirShow is "Salute to Veterans". There will be a lot of
warbirds from WWII to the present day. Volunteers are needed to work on the Hot and Static Ramps (call Richard
Baricko at 636-458-4576).
