Duane Huelsmann
of the Transportation Security Administration at Lambert will be our guest speaker for the May dinner meeting.
Duane is the son of MPA member Kathy Hyken. He started his career at Lambert working part time for Trans States
Airlines (d/b/a Trans World Express) while attending the University of Missouri - St. Louis. He held many positions
in his 16 years of service, working his way from Ramp Manager to Director of Stations & Regulatory Security.
In July 2002 he joined the TSA in a position to set up airport security around the country. He is now permanently
stationed at Lambert as Security Screening Manager - Mobile Security Force (MSF).
We'll be at the Greenbriar Country Club, 12665 Big Bend Boulevard. Social hour starts at 1800; Dinner ($16) at
1900 and Duane will make his presentation at 2000. Reservations required. Please call Barb Lane at 636-391-2668
by Monday May 5th. NEW: if you do not have a reservation and come for dinner the price is $18.

May 10th
Third Annual Youth Aviation Day at Spirit Airport.
The MPA will again be assisting EAA with their Young Eagles Program. All enjoyed the free Hot Dogs & Soda,
checking out the aircraft on display, etc. Volunteers are needed to help with registration, escorting the kids,
serving hot dogs & soda, driving a van to and from the Flight Service Station, etc. Call Richard at 636-458-4576

That's right! Two fly-outs
throughout the summer. It is a BBQ comparison with fly-out Alpha to Miami County Airport (K81). Plan your flight
to meet at 1200 at K81. We-Be-Smoken Restaurant is on the airport. Caution: Whitman AFB NOTAM is in effect and

As always our chapter fly outs are 5,000 ft ceilings, 5 miles visibility and 15 knot surface winds for the departure
and terminal airports. If conditions are not, then the fly out is cancelled.

May 24th-25th
AirShow at Columbia Airport featuring a rare "red tail" P-51C, a P-38 Lightning,
F6F Hellcat, F4U Corsair, P-40 Warhawk will be among the many aircraft on display and flying. There will be quite
a few military assets including the Super Hornet Demo Team and the A-10 Demo Team.
Gates open at 0930 and show runs until 1600.
Unfortunately fly-ins are not permitted so either car pool with your friends of fly into JEF where buses will take
