FAA Appreciation Night
We have completed another year with the current officers and board members. Some will leave and new members will take their place. This month at our Chapter meeting, Theda Beningfield will swear in the new officers. I will be returning as your President. Steve Crisp will be Vice President, Tim McDermott as Treasurer, June Williams as secretary and her husband, Bob will be flyout chairman with Dee Giedinghagen again providing us with excellent speakers and programs. We can always count on Penrod Turk, Joe Boyles, Al St. Germain and others that have always been at the board meetings to help out. Chris St. Germain will continue to be out Safety Officer and always does an excellent job. I want to thank all of the Chapter members who helped out in the past year. It takes all of us to make a successful Chapter. See you at the convention in Springfield, June 4-5-6. Herb Roberts

Why Instruction Never Goes South
WINGS - Congratulations to anyone completing their WINGS in the last two months. Remember, send a copy of your certificate to the Chapter. Also let the editor know @ 942-8428 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org..
The State Wings Contest runs from April 1st thru March 31st each year. Let's make the WINGS year . All it takes is one hour of air work, one hour of takeoffs and landings, one hour of instrument and a safety meeting. It is the responsibility of each chapter Safety Chairperson to keep track of all their WINGS participants. So -- -- keep Chapter Safety Chairman, Chris St. Germain, informed upon the completion of any phase. (9102 E. 50th Terrace, K.C., MO 64133) (Phone OR Fax 358-2150)
Safety Tip - With warm days and cool nights, as well as humidity from frequent rains, conditions are great for condensation. Check your fuel tanks and sumps thoroughly for water during preflight inspection. That same condensation can form ice in the engine induction tract. Carb heat or alternate air intake should be checked during runup. Ice makes good tea, but makes engines quiet. Chris
MPA Board Meetings - This is a reminder that any member can attend our chapter board meetings. They are held on the first Tuesday of the month, excluding holidays, at Executive Beechcraft, Downtown Airport, at 7:00 P.M. We always welcome your advice and assistance, and the hospitality is great.
MPA State Board Meetings - Anyone can attend the State board meeting. Check the M.P.A. News for meeting date and location. Make this your additional flyout.
