Our guest speaker will be Bob McDaniel, Airport Director
of Saint Louis Downtown Airport (CPS).

Bob will discuss development plans for St. Louis Downtown Airport and how they will effect general aviation in the St. Louis area.

Bob's presentation is one you certainly will not want to miss. We'll be at the Greenbriar Country Club, 12665 Big Bend Boulevard. Social hour (cash bar) begins at 1800; dinner ($18.00) is at 1900 with the big event at 2000. Seating is limited so reservations are required. Fly-Out to Grand Glaze (K15) for our annual "shop til you drop" excursion to the mall at Lake of the Ozarks. Plan to arrive at Grand Glaze at 1000. Transportation will be provided to the Mall. Interested persons must contact Sue Smith since she has to arrange for transportation.

Subject: LOSS OF CONTROL

One of the series of Safer Skies initiative, Loss of Control deals with one of the most frequent aviation accident cause factors. The causes and conditions for loss of control will be reviewed including, stall/spins, turbulence, spatial disorientation, and weather. The program will also provide pilots with tips to avoid loss of control, as well as recovery techniques that pilots may receive training on. This program contains essential information for all flyers, from students to flight instructors.
